 Abstract:  Flora T. Laughlin (b. 1854) was the wife of Reverend Edmund G. Laughlin, pastor of the Miles Avenue Disciple Church in Cleveland, Ohio. The Laughlins resided in Cleveland from 1892-1908. The collection consists of a diary for the year 1892. The entries detail Mrs. Laughlin's daily activities as a minister's wife and record her purchases.

He and his wife, Ruth Berry McKinney, were active in numerous church and civic organizations and in the affairs of Cleveland's African American community. The collection consists of biographical materials, correspondence, sermons, speeches, "Thot-O-Grams," financial, printed and miscellaneous papers, and papers relating to Antioch Baptist Church.
